Notes
The OB and the AFV strengths for the Soviet side in the battle are well established. Infantry strengths have been estimated to tally with the tank strengths
The German OB is less clear in available sources. Strengths for a fortnight before the battle and a fortnight after are available, but nothing is available in the middle. The above is a “best guess”. The strength for the 501 sHPzAbt should be well known but the Russian and German accounts are at odds. This is exacerbated by the fact that the Tiger II at this time had severe reliability problems and the number of runners in unclear.
It appears that Jablonika was occupied by the Germans but in what strength an with what units is not recorded.
